Tracking Equipment From Warehouse to Worksite

SafeLifting is a rental management system used to manage lifting equipment for the shipping and logistics sector. As the company grew, manual processes made it harder to track equipment, slowed warehouse operations, and increased the risk of operational mistakes. To address this, we worked with the client to review their rental and warehouse workflows and develop a structured digital platform. The system was designed to support daily operations, maintain accurate equipment records, and ensure safety checks are completed throughout the rental process.

R&D & Innovation

View equipment status on a tablet

To improve operational visibility, the team developed a tablet-friendly dashboard. The dashboard provides real-time information on equipment availability, dispatch activity, and inspection status. Warehouse teams can access this information directly from the warehouse floor while managing equipment movements.

Record inspections before and after use

A digital inspection workflow was also implemented. Technicians can record safety checks before equipment leaves the warehouse and again when it is returned. This helps ensure that equipment remains compliant with safety requirements during the rental cycle.

Organize products and parts

In addition, the system supports product hierarchy management. Products, sub-products, and assemblies can be defined within the platform. This allows the team to track complex equipment configurations and maintain accurate records across the entire rental lifecycle.

Create and use custom forms

The platform also includes a custom form builder that allows teams to create operational forms based on their workflows. This makes it easier to capture safety inspections, equipment validation, and operational records in a structured and flexible way.

Scan equipment with QR codes

The team introduced QR-based equipment identification to improve equipment traceability. Each piece of equipment can now be scanned, allowing warehouse staff to quickly register, locate, and update equipment records during dispatch and return.
